answers to the few questions: was it stable? I don't know how stable anything is at that speed. At these speeds you are meant to lean backwards and takeoff.
What I did notice though is that the slight jittering of the back end when cornering at high speed and going over a rough patch, which initially concerned me, is nothing to worry about. Sit tight and the car does hold even though everything is telling you the opposite.
camera? funnily enough i tried again to get up to 200mph a few miles down the road while holding my camera phone in one hand. can't be done! all i have is a blurry picture of 298 and soiled trousers.
re the road between france and Italy. I have lived between Geneva and Monaco for a while so I know most of these roads well. In fact I was on the san bernadino pass in the z06 only yesterday. Motoring heaven.
I will of course post a picture ASAP it might not be in front of the casino though. There is usually a horde of tourists taking pictures as I drive past. If I get out and park it, join them and start taking pictures I will look like too much of a muppet. Monaco is a small place I have reputation to keep!
