Thanks. Mine's a cold blooded beast. If I waited for this engine to come up to the temperature of the 03 Z before going to high rpms, I'd wait a long time before I could get on it. On a recent trip with outside temperatures in the 30's, the oil temp was 145 to 150 degrees in 6th gear at 75 to 80 mph. In the 03 Z, the oil temp would have been in the 195 to 205 range. I suspect with the oil cooler and just cruising, the LS 7 engine runs cooler than the LS 6 engine.
