You simply lay the MAG into position, with the boot over the throttle body. Tighten the hose clamp.

Then install the filter onto the elbow, making sure the elbow does not protrude into the filter area. No lips.

Nothing protrude into the liner if done properly.

Thanks for responding, I will give you a call Monday. I have installed it as you stated above and followed the instructions on your web page, but it still touches the hood pad. There appears to be only one way the mag can be installed, but the filter can be tilted either so as to fully rest on the shroud or not. Either way mine still touches. I'm sure together we can figure it out.
