Quick report ... no pics yet.
Monday and Tuesday ...
Weather was great! We lucked out - low-mid 80's
Event was great! Got almost 3 1/2 hours of track time in 8 runs over two days. Didn't quite top off my car when I filled monday nite ... mybad! Last heat on Tuesday, about 20 minutes in --- got "Reserve Fuel" warning! so pitted in ... first time I've burned thru a tank of gas in a day!

This is a must-do event. Those of you within 8 hours of VIR should sign up for NCM eNews and jump on this next year ... will be July 7-8 I think ...
Oh, yeah ... anyone going to the Fest in Oct that is coming from west, east, or north of BG should be signin' up for the HPDE day at Putnam Park IN ... same quality organization and instructor cast
Hey, Siska ... Jon T from CCA was there with his Black C6Z ... ...
Let me tell you ... I was running the advanced (Black) group and 2/3 of the group were instructors ... several with T-1 cars and ALL fast drivers ... we had "liberal" passing rules and never did I give a point by to so many cars! I got signed off for solo after first event Tues ... and on the last heat we ran with the Red instructor group ...
But that' ok ... I achieved my objectives ... 130 on the straights, > 45 on the Oak Tree, 110 thru the uphill esses, 85 thru the downhill lefthander turn 9 ... and most important ... I drove it home!
LOVE the Nitto 555RII's ... those poor puppies just rolled over and hung on. Turn 1 right turn opens to an increasing radius turn 2 that one has to pinch right to set up for turn 3 ... and I just steered with the throttle ... problem is that I didn't have enough camber to fully load the tires and I really loaded the outside edges ... was managing tire pressures for end-session heat ... ending with 40/38 hot so I couldn't add more air.
Oil temps were an issue ... when I hit 284 on Mon I started short shifting and even going to 5th on the straights, to manage temps to 280 max ... did so, but it took something away from the experience.
Got a fix for that tho ... DRM RD Radiator with integrated EOC in the garage ... going in between Jul 17 and Aug 12, which is my next down time window. I'd have it in by Sat but it's going to take me a lot of time, patience, and cursing to get thru the fans wire harness removal
