I use this method too on my 03' Z.
Bought a nice big syringe from Home Depot, works very nicely with hardly any dripping, but i am still anal about spill considering the liquid is so corrosive to the paint. Very good idea with the towels around everything! I have never thought of doing that, i might try it next time... then i might not have to be so cautious about dripping
