It may be a bit conspiracy-theorist of me, but I suspect that there is some trickery afoot here. Nissan spent MILLIONS developing the GT-R to go after the best in the world. No way the marketing types would let it get eaten in a fair fight and disappear into the annals of history as an "almost-best" car.
Surely it is a fast car, but my guess is, Nissan bought their comparo from R&T and that private stoplight and track warriors everywhere will prove them quite wrong.

Time will tell. Love to see Nissan put the car in ALMS racing series or some endurance racing Sebring, Le Mans. Play with the Big Dogs.
