New To The Forums With ?'s
I'm on the prowl for a Z06. I've been lurking around here for a while and have questions about about the flying roofs and needle bearings. Have these issues been resolved or are there recalls on these items, or only TSBs if these situations occur on your vehicle? I know warranty will cover these items, but I'd like to have the issues resolved before they become problems.
I did drive an '08, but not on the freeway, it didn't seem to have the road noise the '07's that I drove. Did Chevy do any sound deadening in the trunk area in the '08s? Or maybe it's just as noisy on the freeway.
Have there been any significant improvements on the '08s to justify the extra cost for '08? I don't plan on doing any track time in it, I just want something that hauls ass and looks the part, but at the same time I want something that is comfortable on a long ride.
I had been looking for a Pantera for the last year and a half, I drove a few, but no real seat time. I did finally spend about 45 minutes on the street with traffic and on the freeway. Man, what an uncomfortable car! There's no way I could do a 3 - 4 hour trip to Vegas in that thing - what's left? A Corvette ... with a 500 hp engine ... with a warranty!
By the way, this forum is the most informative than the other Vette forums - if a question is asked, no matter how elementary, it gets answered without sarcasm and insults!
