It should take all of 5 minutes to plug in and then you just run the ipod wire to the glove box. You can select playlists and control the ipod with the radio and steering controls.
I also did the Parrot blue tooth in the Z and can now use my iphone handsfree, also a very nice little add-on.

Yep got that too, but boy was it difficult to train the bluetoothed parrot to pick up the phone......
Got the 3100 unit stick on lower left panel, cannot see it and when it rings it scares the beejeez out of me!
