You know, I am counting the days until I can tell the United States Army to kiss my ass. Over thelast 3 days, it has been one soup sandwich over another.
I have a Soldier go into the emergency room on Friday by AMBULANCE and I didn't get a call for over 90 minutes AFTER she arrived. It was severe enough to get a medical emergency, but not severe enough to inform her 1st line supervisor (me).
Prior to her release, I ask the NCO who is picking her up to CALL ME if she is discharged so I know her disposition and medical referral for comp time, convalescent leave, quarters, etc...... She is released around 4 pm. I never got a call. I call that NCO and his excuse was "I just plum forgot".
I go into get my Enlisted Records Brief today and try and smooth over the clerk with a kick ass BULLDOG coin, my coin I gave out as a First Sergeant. This was just hoping I would get a good attention to detail with my records for promotion look to Sergeant Major. I gave her a DETAILED write up what to remove, what to add, what to drop off, what to change. It was very detailed, and written by section and line, so there was no confusion. I felt confident walking out because not only HANDING her my record with highlights on it to match up what needed to change, I went through it line by line for each one what to do and then left her the ERB with the highlights, my documents to support the changes and the cheat sheet explaining line by line.
Would you believe that DUMB ASS forgot to changes a few lines, didn't line up (dress right dress) the lines so there is shit crooked, and she even got a few things WRONG!!!
WHAT THE FK is wrong with people today?
I mean, do they actually stand back and look at the CRAP they put out? And this is MY RECORD TO THE SERGEANTS MAJOR BOARD SHE IS SCREWING WITH!!! That is why I tried to explain line by line and these assholes DO NOT TAKE APPOINTMENTS you must drop off your paper work. This is BULLSHIT. No face to face influence is garbage. I explained it to this incompetent moron in detail and she STILL Screwed it up.
Well, guess what? Tomorrow I will be going BACK and tell her to do that crap while I stand over her shoulder and SUPERVISE her dumbass. Then, I am taking my coin back and giving it to the drive thru teller at Burger King!
Am I just having a bad week or what! I tell ya, sometimes I think one of the most organized structures in the world is the most UNORGANIZED. And of course, if I go back and rant about this, I am the one that is wrong or too uptight or whatever......
Then I got to submit this TSR Data to Brigade. The gentleman who gives me the input says he can update the website since he is directly responsible for that information. I say Thank you and how it makes my job easier....All I required was a E mail saying it was up to date. I speak with a female NCO to do HER portion the same and she says "Thats not my job..." I then have to explain to her how as the Battalion S1, she tracks all incoming personnel and that IS HER JOB!!! The problem is, she has one data sheet (Data Sheet A) that updates another automatically (Data Sheet B TSR) and gives me the Data Sheet B TSR. Well, the only problem is, that data sheet comes to me with about 1000 Cells that have numbers and NONE ARE ANNOTATED WITH HIGHLIGHT!!! So, I do not know what is changed month to month and she expects me to look it over cell by cell, line by line, until I discover "ohh, here is a change". I tell her this is crap and there has GOT To be a more efficient method and she says "Well, this is how its always been done and we never had a problem before until now" I said "Thats because I am not the NCO who USED TO WORK HERE that is willing to waste 3 hours or more looking this over cell by cell, And if you don't get a more efficient method, it will be YOu who sits by my side reading off line by line. Not my Boss" And then you know, you get the nonchalant attitude "Well, thats really not my job and I dont have time for that" blah blah FKING Blah...... Then I say, "But you seem to think I have time for that?" This is the BULLSHIT the Army tolerates. I don't but it is obvious her leaders accept this so she dishes her crap out.
Anyways - This is our Army. Its filled with incompetent shitbags who don't try and make things better or more efficient or take PRIDE in their work. I am so fking FED UP with this shit!!!
And what pisses me off even more is, YOU CANT FIRE THEM!!!
