I tell you what......if you make it out to the Z06Fest, that means joining in with the NE caravan so you get the full experience from start to finish, I have a feeling that your opinion will change. Especially of the people here.
There are "the uppity types" all through life, they don't necessarily drive 'Vettes. Here in the Annapolis area the Corvette drives are much like you mentioned, ah it's going to rain, I can't drive the car. I didn't fit well around there either with the bump stick I had, the loud exhaust and trying to talk to them about actually "driving" the car.....like Summit Point, Capital Dragway, VIR, etc.
Now don't get me wrong, that was 75% of the crowd in the area......and I'm sure in your area it's the same. You just have to "look" for the crowd.
Join us in September in Bowling Green....you'll see.
