Re: Which wheels for track ?

Most 3-piece wheels....including ours will be too much of a pain to dismount and mount race tires repeatedly. Most straight lip/wide lip design wheels will not be appropriate for the track....they bend easier, are heavier, and are more difficult to mount and dismount. They are for the street and designed mainly for appearance. They would not necessarily be too heavy.
Now, that I've shot myself in the foot.....use a one-piece forged wheel, the lightest and best you can afford. In my opinion BBS is the best. CCW is a good alternative. RAYS is great but it will take forever to get them, same with one piece OZ. The right wheels are like adding 100HP on a track car....they save you so much time on repeated acceleration and braking, and not flexing helps retain your suspension settings and puts less stress on the shocks and all moving pieces. Everything I've just commented about pertains to the track.
