A group of Corvette enthusiasts here at my office (myself included) were discussing this, & we're really surprised that its top end is
barely above that of the Z06. There are guys in Dubai or in Germany on the Autobahn, for example, who have had their stock Z06's run upwards of 202-203 mph (using GPS Speedometers to get an accurate calculation).
I would have thought that GM would have geared it to be at least a little bit faster on the top end...
For the price they're asking, just get a stock Z06 & send it to Lingenfelter with the leftover ~$30-50K (depending on markups) & you'll have something that can smoke a ZR1.
