I occassionally got the CAGS event when I was least expecting it in traffic situations. About the time I shifted and wanted to pull ahead of slower drivers I realized I was in 4th.
I ended up adding the plug in eliminator. Problem solved
PS - My 08 owners manual shows the CAGS is activated when:
Engine temp > 169F
15 to 19 MPH
21% Throttle or less
