Jub, let me suggest that you do a little internet research on the history of the stock market. As bad as things seem now, it has been this bad before and worse. It always comes back...always.
Remember, just because the market is down by almost 4,000 points (DJIA) doesn't mean that someone took that trillion+ dollars into an oven and burned it. It's still out there waiting to be reinvested when the timing is right. The market WILL recover and some folks who sold will lose money, some folks who bought will make money and some folks will get very rich.
It doesn't do any good to let the horses out of the barn AFTER the fire has burned it down.
It's not a good time to panic. Stay the course, bro!
