You are damn right my friend... A few owners already broke the first gear. The forums talk about the fact that it is less than 1% of the failures but in reality, how many GTR are on the streets? not many.
They are working on having transmission beef up but off course it would comes with a cost.
Another thing is that the PCM-ECU records any software changes(tune) so it is part of the purchase agreement to admit warranty voidance if the ECU is reflashed. A GTR owner signs specific papers.
I am not saying that the Z06 transmission is the best iether because my 2008 Z06 has been giving me issues since 2000 miles but I will eventually send it to get it upgrade to RPM for a fraction of the cost($2395) of what it would cost you to do a GTR transmission.
