I have been on these two forums: GTRforum and NACTROG (my user name is 200mphdude). For your information, the transmision repair on the GTR is roughly $24000 and change( $22,415.38 plus $1,380 for installation labor) . They don't fix it, they have to replace it. But if you are a big baller and don't mind paying $24000 then by all means go nuts.
I also planned to buy one before the vette so I did my homework 18 months go. Good luck finding one near MSRP.:mug:. As far is the 1.5s 60', in reality the average GTR owner is getting anywhere between 1.7 and 1.8s 60'.
You might be able to run the 1.5 with a set of sticky tires and using Launch control but that is the biggest fear on any GTR owner. The new 09 and 2010 models comes with a revise launch control and it is no longer as agressive as before. Bye bye to the 3.2sec 0-60mph as they are now more into the 4 sec flat.

I'm well aware of the cost for repairs. If I had one I wouldn't be worried about warranty work, so the ECU is the first thing that's getting flashed. I know prices for them are crazy right now. I'm in no hurry to get this thing... I can wait... even if it's years. I've actually been looking at prices for a 997. Thanks.
