The answer is "it probably doesn't". Some cars have notoriously crappy Grounding systems and upgrades like this can help. But usually, these situations are found on cars that weren't originally high performance designs.
In my opinion, you can put this in the same category as "Monster Cable". Paying extra for lower impedance conductors only matters if your exceeding the capabilities of the existing conductors. The "benefit" is even more dubious in the context of a computerized engine management system. A PCM doesn't work any better with voltages any better than the minimum needed for it to function, it works exactly the same. The PCM either works or it doesn't work. Period.
I suppose that better Grounding to the Coils could result in minor improvements in Spark voltage, but that's about all I could think would benefit.
