Re: HID light
To add to what Rocket has already said, I had to install a dummy 'load resistor' when I installed my HID kit to get the lamps to retract when I turned the switch to the off position. I found that you actually only need one of these resistors in the HID circuit to make the lamps retract (i.e. a single resistor installed on the left or right HID lamp circuit), but I installed one on both sides anyways.
Make sure the resistor that they recommend/you buy is of the large heat-dissapating kind. Cant remember the resistance value, but mine are about 2.5" long and 0.5" tall. I might still have a link to the website I bought mine from if you want it, I can PM you.
To take a guess at your horn/alarm problem, I would say that its unrelated to the installation of your HIDs (unless its honking/alarming because it thinks you have a headlight out, which I doubt. If so, the dummy resistor(s) will solve this problem). I know that if you have the cars DIC lock mode set for "Horn & Lights" or "Horn", it will honk once everytime you use the key fob to lock the car. Maybe this is what your experiencing...????
