It wasnt the normal marbles in a can sound from the transmission, it was a tapping sound that would occur maybe once every 1 or 2 seconds. My wife in the passenger seat heard it too. I pushed in the clutch and let it back out and it went away.
This was the second time I've heard this, once was a few months ago and pushing in the clutch pedal made it go away then too. I didn't think much of it then since the car was new.
Any ideas?

Yes, its called the transmission dance.
My car does it when I am in neutral. It goes away when I press the clutch. If I depress the clutch, the noise comes back. I've asked my friend who has a '02 Coupe and his car does the same thing.
The Z06 video said the noise from the manual transmission was normal.
Except for the sweet pipe music coming from the exhaust, the car doesn't make any other rattles or noises.
