Proud Texan and banner pics to prove it.

These banner pics were taken from San Jacinto Battle Ground National park 15 mile east of Houston. It's also known as "The Birth Place of Texas." On this site Sam Houston led his men into battle on April 21,1836. One hundred years later a 570 foot monument was built to remember that great moment in Texas history. The battle only lasted 20Min. yet hundreds of lives were lost. For you history buffs and buffets out there here is a link the museum's site.

The first is me. It was difficult tring to line-up the camera and set the timer.

Second is a picture of the laying of the corner stone.

Third is the site where the most bloodiest part of the battle took place.

Forth is a book signed by Sam Houston.

Fifth is over looking the battle field from the top of the monument.

Hum five banner shots, how many Zmiles is that?
