You turn it off because the stock system is invasive and bogs the car when it activates. The RaceLogic traction control system does not. It's as seamless as traction control gets, short of F1-level competition systems, and you can adjust the allowed level of tire spin for maximum acceleration. The system handles the rest.
The Toyota MKIV Supra which broke the Nurburgring record for a tuned road car (7 minutes, 49 sec.) used RaceLogic traction control. Many of the high horsepower RWD cars that come with stock traction control (like the Supra) are using this system.
