Good luck in telecom. That sector has been really hurt over the past 3 years. In RTP NC alone they lost some where in the neighborhood of 5000 engineering positions in telecom. I started to hate visiting there over the past 3 years just because every time I would go there, I heard stories of yet another company eliminating entire groups or divisions or they were waiting for another announcement of big layoffs.. It was sad.
