This position will support MSDS which is the GMA-7 Enterprise-level provider of mission support (non-signal) storage and retrieval services, inter-segment data transport, and notification services to clients located at all GMA-7 nodes. MSDS is not a data back-up system. Back-up services are provided by the Digital Data Storage System (DISS).
MSDS offers the following advantages to the GMA enterprise:
· Single GMA respository for all mission support data.
· Location independent access to standardize MSDS Services increases the flexibility of the architecture.
· Reduced number and type of programmatic interfaces.
· Increased data assurance through back-up and fail-over mechanisms.
Mission Support data types include: SIGINT collection status and mission management data, historical resource allocation and status data, SIGINT reports and supporting data. MSDS builds upon the existing Mission Assessment (MA) data warehouse, which currently hosts data from some 55 unique interfaces.
Essential Job Function:
The candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in the following functions:
· Design and development of user interfaces;
· Be able to implement code in Java, JSP, HTML & XML;
· Interface to COTS Java libraries;
· Handle data packaged in XML
· Communicate requirements to and assist with vendor support;
· Manage S/W baselines;
· Write S/W installation and maintenance documentation; and
· Train the users/trainers.
Required Skills:
The candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years experience with the following:

· Apache Tomcat Administration
· Windows 2000 Administration
· UNIX Knowledge
