I like everything I read about the new ZEE. even the price doesen't bother me to much. If the General thinks that the new Z06 will sell like the old Z06 from 5 to 8 thousand units a year. IMO they are dead wrong. The bean counters must be all over them with facts and figures. The 2001 thru 2004 IMO was the highest profit making model of all the C5's. I'm sure it costs no more to manufacture a LS6 motor and a MN12 tranny than it did the LS1 or the MN6 tranny. As for the body style FRC over fastback I'll bet that was cheaper also. So IMO the Z06 costs the least to produce and was about the most expensive MSRP wise.
The new Z06 will be a Great car that will not sell well after the first couple of years as the ZR1 did in the nineties. In some ways this is good because not every Tom, Dick and Harry will have one making the car more unique.
