If SCCA had a half a brain, they would change it every year (or at least every 3 years) so no one region would have an advantage. What is the downside to rotating the runoffs to various tracks nationwide?
Back in the mid-late sixties they would rotate the runoffs between Riverside and Daytona. The only problem is finding facilites that can hold 700+ competitors in the paddocks. I read that there is rumor that they may have a "runoffs only congifuration" for H.P. That way the locals won't have an unfair advantage.
