Yes they are.
Their basically a 555R tire, with a stiff sidewall like most road racing tires. Gives you the benefit if good traction in a straight line, and in the twisties, so you don't get that unsteady feeling you do with DR's at high speed and the turns.
Keep in mind it's inevitable that the stiff sidewall will compromise your linear traction slightly in comparison to the dedicated D/R tire 555R.
