At the head office facility of an oil field service company I work for here in Houston there are 3 Corvettes. Mine, a 97 Coupe and a 1995 LT4.

By contrast there is 1 x 993, 6 x 996's and 2 x 997's of varying flavours.

For the record only one of the guys is a "performance car enthusiast". The rest "bought a Porsche". I just don't see a $80,000 Corvette selling the way Porsches do.

It is going suffer the same fate the Ford GT has.

Yeah I knew that when I spoke to all the guys that I knew that had exotics and none were buying the GT that it was going to do the rock in a wet paper bag act. Imagine the guys that bought at 260K and now they are down almost 100K before 8 months is up.
