Im in the same boat, I ordered through a family member that only sold 2 vettes last year. He has been in contact with GM and has written the car up as sold. GM still hasent given him a firm allocation, but Im not giving up yet.
I would sugest that if you are not in a hurry, wait untill after the first of the year and if your dealer hasnt gotten you an accepted order, then start looking around.
In november the next outlook letter will go out, ask your dealer to see this, then your will know if they have an allocation for you.
