Luckily it hadn’t fallen off. Another forum member attached about a 12 inch red streamer to each puck. Well, I’d need at least ten feet, so the streamer would have to be tripped over. Started hanging the ‘puck bag’ over the shift lever. Now, I have to shift through that bag, before driving off. DA’s like me need all the help they can get.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 17, 2013

World’s Fastest Man on a Motorcycle Acquires Rights to Houston Mile Top Speed Competition

Hennessey Performance continues primary sponsorship of the Houston Mile top speed competition

(Houston, TX) – June 17, 2013 – Bill Warner, aka “Mr. 300,” owner of the Wild Brothers Motorsports motorcycle land speed racing team, has acquired the rights to the Houston Half Mile Shootout. Warner’s new company, National Mile Racing (NMR), will introduce a number of improvements for the popular Aero’s & Autos Half-Mile Shootout, in addition to introducing two new one-mile competitions at the current location.

The inaugural Houston Mile competition is scheduled for October 19 & 20, at Houston’s Ellington Airport. On-line registration will open August 18, and is limited to the first 150 registrants for both automobiles and motorcycles.

Warner and NMR bring a racer’s perspective to racing event management devoted to providing speed enthusiasts and fans with unforgettable top speed racing events in a fun and safe environment. Warner is the first and only racer to break the 300 mph barrier on a motorcycle and is known within racing circles as “Mr. 300.”

“I've been very fortunate on the track throughout my racing career, but the best part has been all the great people I’ve met along the way. I want to show my appreciation to them with events utilizing their suggestions and ideas, as well as mine,” said Warner. “I'm confident the new Houston Mile will reflect this collective input with memorable events for competitors, sponsors and fans," added Warner.

Local high performance specialists, Hennessey Performance (HPE), will present both the new Houston Mile events. “Hennessey Performance is proud to continue its association with the Houston Mile by agreeing to a long term sponsorship with NMR. We are confident Bill Warner and NMR will turn the Houston Mile into a premier speed event for Texas,” said Dave Golder, GM of HPE.

Ellington Airport is located 15 miles south of Houston, off the I-45/Gulf Freeway exit. For Houston Mile event details and registration information, visit ***edited***

With my HP Tuner I've logged shift times for my 2012 Z06 vs. my sold 08 A6. Takes almost twice as long with the manual. Manual in the .4+ second range, one .312, and my 08 .20 range. Either I have a lot more practice or the manual is a minimum .10 slower. That would be .3 lost for a 1/4 mile pass. I did have my 08 tune with slightly faster shifts but TM enabled. The times I calculated was during the throttle position less than 100% during shift.

Anybody able to do better with their manual? Post a log. I tried to post mine but says invalid file.

Hello everybody

I don´t have a DRL on my 2002 Z06, because in Europe it´s forbidden to drive with these amber lights on. But now, law have changed and I would like reactivate those amber lights. I made a short visit at a local GM dealer, but he said ´he is scaring to go into the BCM and programingwith the GM Tech 2, because maybe it will be destroyed with this job'! If so I must buy a new BCM and looking for dates, because the 2002 Z06 was never imported on the official way and the GM dealer don´t have these Dates....
What should I do? Can the GM dealer work into the BCM without a risk for my car? And where I can get the new Dates for my Z06 if she maybe goes death... what I not hope...
Btw. Relays 38 and 40 have 4 Pins. Correct?

Hope you can help me!

Many greetings,
"The aluminum frame is manufactured using innovative manufacturing processes at GM’s Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant. The state-of-the-art facility employs several advanced joining technologies to ensure dimensional accuracy within 0.75 mm. Each frame features:

354 spot-welds using a GM-patented process that uses a unique electrode designed specifically for aluminum
188 Flowdrill-machined fasteners, which are installed by a high-speed drill that extrudes the frame material to create a strong, integral collar that is tapped for bolt-on fasteners
113 feet of structural adhesives, used in conjunction with welding and fasteners to increase overall frame stiffness
37 feet of laser welds, which join frame sections via a precise beam of high energy that minimizes heat beyond the weld area for improved structural accuracy."
