Looking good Andy. Did you tank your block or anything. It looks new. I have some discoloration on some of my aluminum parts and would like to clean them up. What do you recommend? You made a cam change. Do you have the old vs new spec's. Why did you switch?

I clean all the aluminum parts with the same acid and water that we use on the subframe parts.The engine came from my 2001 Zo6 that only had 10,000 miles and was not a daily driver,I also clean under the hood way more than you should.
That is why it is so clean.
The cam change was my decision based on life of the valve springs.The other cam was very high lift for a street car.It is the same cam Lpe runs in most 2005 LS2 HC cars.
I am not looking for a race car(as stated before).This one will be a true driver that will not need any strings to be pulled to get the emmisions to pass and will not shake your teeth.It will be very easy to tune also.
I have many dyno sheets in my hand where it has made 390-400 rwhp and real nice torque in the 370's range w/o headers.That is pretty good in my book for a car that sounds stock and looks stock.
Current cam - LPE LS1 Camshafts 350-383-427 207/220 .571/.578 w 1.7 rocker 118.5 CL

I looked at this cam also. It looked like it had a lot of exhaust for a header/low restriction exhaust that I have. This cam would definitely be a sleeper type cam.
I spent the day dis-assembling the car and cleaning for a full 8 hours....Wow that is some work,BUT WELL WORTH IT.I got more accomplished today than expected,You can do that when you have no interuptions and all the parts for the job.I started off dynoing the car before I put it on the rack,It amazed me with a full 307 rwhp and 307 rwt.
I will post pics of the dyno sheet tommorow with both results of OLD versus NEW
For the sake of keeping it easy,I chose not to do headers,Also there will be no reason to remove codes etc. so that it will pass emmisions.I am not trying to break any records here,so I have decided just keep it simple.
I do not like to get dirty when I put them back together.I am going to try to get it in the paint shop to get the final stage done this week.Should be on the dyno today...Got some miles on her last night.
