Dyno'd the 99 Corvette FRC today :)

With Borla Stingers and Halltech Stinger Intake System I put down 331.5rwhp/346.3rwtq. I thought the car felt peppy.. I thought maybe the previous owner had a ls6 intake on the car, but the part # on the intake says 12556333. I cant find that # anywhere on GM Parts.

Those are good numbers! I can't wait to get mine on the dyno ( just installed G5x2 cam, longtubes, underdrive pulley and the 01 & up intake manifold) The number of the intake you have is the same as my 99 original intake

That sounds about right. Usually a 99 - 00 FRC will be around 300 rwhp, dynos do vary. The 2 mods you have are quite often good for some where around 30 rwhp. The stock air box on all C5s are pretty restrictive, a cold air box will easily get you 15rwhp. The stock exhaust on the C5 is also pretty restrictive and I have no doubts you can get around 15 rwhp with the stingers. A good set of long tube headers and a good tune could probably get you another 30+ rwhp which would put you in the 360 rwhp range.

330 rwhp is definitely a lot for a stocker. My Y2K FRC dynoed 302.5 with a Blackwing on a Mustang dyno. That 302 hp was 110-111 MPH at the track.

Cheers,

Mark

Great numbers! I just got my 2000 FRC and it sure does seem ALOT faster than my 98 coupe. The only mod is a Corsa exhaust system. And that can't make that much of a difference. Maybe it is the lighter weight. But boy does this FRC seems fast. Glad to see you got a strong one!

Yea...I wonder why Chevrolet spent all that money developing the LS-6 for the Z06 when all they had to do was put an air filter and headers on the LS-1??
