Newbie here

Hi, I'm new here. I have a 2001 Z28 with a fully modded suspension, but basically stock powerwise besides a lid and exhaust. I'm here because I am maybe thinking of upgrading to a FRC soon, I'd like a Z0, but they are out of my price range and I am just going to mod the hell out of it anyways. I have a TSP 231/237 cam that was going to go in my Z28 but it may end up in a Vette instead . Here are some pics, I recently added a Grand Sport Stripe to the driver's side that you can't see in these pics

Welcome aboard! FRC's are awesome. I'm hooked. Heck, I even buy all the models I can find of FRCs.

Btw, my buddy has a car that looks similar to yours.

Welcome aboard.

Good luck on your move to the FRC. Hope you find one that you like... and have fun modding it.

While there isn't that much difference between the FRC and the Z06 if you start modding things like engine and suspension, there are some weight savings on the Z06 that will be too costly for you to realistically replicate on a FRC, so I wouldn't totally discount the early Z06s. Its been too long for me to remember exactly what the differences are, but maybe someone else here may know. I seem to remember a Z06 being 50-100lbs lighter than a FRC. You can regain some of that with mods such as titanium exhaust, etc, but that offsets the price differences between the two. If you keep your eye open, you may find a Z06 at a good price.

That's why I am not going to be in huge rush because I have a feeling I may be able to find a 01 Z06 at a good price. Besides, the weight and suspension differences, there is also the better intake manifold and heads that come on a LS6 compared to a LS1, but remember, any Vette is going to have SUBSTANSTIAL weight savings over my Fbod, and I have one of the lighter ones
