Upcoming Mods

Well, it is the time of year to plan the winter mods.

I can't decide which route to go.

1. CAM, Heads, LT's, GHL Magnums

2. A&A Vortech setup, LT's, GHL Magnums

3. STS Turbo

What do you guys think?

Also, anyone else have any big plans for winter time mods?

I will be looking to up grade my brakes, I need something that will look great behind the the HRE's. maybe a new set of Brembo's should do the trick.

Update my shock package and maybe install some nice rotors. Maybe a FAST intake and an LS-2 TB. Money is the only thing holding me back.

Any opinions on which of the options I listed above that I should do to my car?

I'm a heads and cam guy. I have Kooks headers and GHL Bullits. Your six speed car should put down some nice strong numbers. The blower stuff is o.k. but not for me. I like NA power.

I would go heads and cam. It's much simpler with less things to go wrong and your stock bottom end will do fine with a HC package. With forced induction pushing over 500 to the wheels you will need to keep a fund for a forged bottom end when yours goes. JMO.

Yeah, I have taken the bottom end into consideration and that is the main reason I am a little leary of the FI setup.

Right now I am leaning towards an H/C setup with maybe a 100 shot on it.

Gonna be ordering the G5X3 on a 112, LG LT's, Spec 3 w/ Billet Flywheel, VaraRam, LS6 intake, ASP Pulley next week.

Still undecided on the rest of the exhaust system, any suggestions?

The GHL magnums or Corsa Ti race system. I have them both and love 'em. The Corsa's are extremely loud but sound
great. (ask anyone who was at the fest last July) The GHL
Magnums have that classic '60's muscle car sound at idle and
sound absolutely evil at WOT, especially behind a set of LT headers. IMHO you can't go wrong with either one, and no resonance out of either system. HTH

Thanks for the info. I ordered a supercharger for the car today and will probably only be putting a Z06 exhaust on it and keep it fairly quiet.
