Star Trek Corvette

Has anyone seen the preview for the new Star Trek movie? It opens with a little red Corvette convertible, either a '65 or '66 judging by the side vents.

Re: Star Trek Corvette

Yes, you're referring to this one. Here's a screenshot from the trailer...

You can probably guess who's driving.

BTW, it's a '66 vert and you probably don't want to know what happens to it.

Haven't seen the trailer yet. I guess I'll look for it.

It's ok. CGI, man...CGI.

The movie actually looks cool. Here's the trailer if anyone wants to check it out...IMDb Video: Star Trek: Trailer #2

Re: Star Trek Corvette

CGI, yes, but the point is Hollywood seems to like destroying Corvettes, seemingly just because they're Corvettes. Then again, when you consider who's driving you'd know why.

By that I mean if most of us were in a movie we'd want to drive a cool car, not some candyass ride like an Aston Martin. And we'd want to treat it like a cheap hooker. Regardless of what we do in reality.

Re: Star Trek Corvette

That is exactly like one of my wife's corvettes. I sent her a message at work to check the garage when she gets home and make sure her car is still there

I thought maybe you pimped out her ride to Hollywood without telling her

Then, I thought "nah, Ed is smarter than that"
