Z06 front bumper scrapes

Picked up my 08 Z06 and immediately found out that my driveway trashes the front bumper. Any ideas on solving this problem?

Re: Z06 front bumper scrapes

Two ideas....

One, if you driveway is wide enough, try going in and out at an angle (that's what I do)

Two, if that isn't possible or doesn't work, pick your self up 2 or 3 2X6 boards and lay them at the curb (like a ramp).

Try ZIP products.com. They have a roller set for $79.95.. Probably not the cheapest but a start...

I assume you're talking about the black air dam under the bumper. The good news is that they are fairly inexpensive to replace. GM designed it with this in mind.

The bad news is the ass-puckering, plastic-on-pavement scraping sound. Not to mention it will eventually get chewed up and look bad.

Sorry about that. Congrats on your new car and welcome to the forum.

Try entering the driveway at an angle to see if that helps. Welcome and congrats on the new ride.

Re: Z06 front bumper scrapes

I appreciate the info. After a few different attempts I found the right angle of attack and can manage to get the front bumper up the driveway without scraping it. I have seen the rollers for the frame. Anyone have any luck with them?
