Re: 2008 Z06Fest - Makers mark WART Road Tour

I want to get more info about this driving event but I am having problems every time I try to "read more". It knocks me off the internet completely. I have no problems anywhere else on the site, just this hyperlink. Can you send me the info directly to me at my email address? cgfireman153@comcast.net
Thanks,
Chris

Mark, So you guys ever carry FRS radios so you can communicate during the run? That is when I'm not holding on for dear life going round a curve at breakneck speeds.. :-) Just a thought...

Believe me. At some points of the trip you will have your hands full with just steering and shifting that is unless you can use or have a third arm of some type to help

Yes, at least some of the folks have a radio, I will have one. But since it will be hard to drive and talk, that is why everyone gets a set of directions to the distillery.

Re: 2008 Z06Fest - Makers mark WART Road Tour

Some people bring radios, and it came in very handy the year we had a police escort when we left MM. Also, it allowed me to re-direct Mike (WVPhoto) when he was about to miss a right turn in one of the little towns. Just make sure you clip it to the visor. The first year I set mine in the cupholder. I heard it smack the passenger-side door when I took the first left hander and didn't see it again until I got to the distillery.

Re: 2008 Z06Fest - Makers mark WART Road Tour

It'll be more fun this year for us. Last year I noticed a pulsating vibration when we got up to speeds I won't mention on I-65 that had me a little bothered. It ended up being a defective tire on one side of the car and an untrue wheel on the other. I just knew I had screwed my drivetrain at the drags. It was still a blast, but you know the feeling you have when you think you've re-broke your favorite toy

Re: 2008 Z06Fest - Makers mark WART Road Tour

I am looking forward to this but my wife may sit this out and I was wondering what else is going on so she can be occupied while I am driving? Is there transportation that can take her to the Corvette museum? or shops close? Is there anything she can walk to... etc....? Anyone?
