For an upclose look at that "black metallic" color, check out "Carbon Metallic" on an Acadia at your local GMC Dealer...
Speaking of the ZR1:
Now THIS, folks, is one sweet-ass ride...
The '06 Z06 is already history, soooooooooo...
Just imagine what the "scalper surcharge" will be on the first few...

99% of the people on the road have no clue what a Z06 is. To the average person it is a Corvette, nothing more, nothing less.
Re: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: Revealed, Officially!
That's what they said about the ZR1 in the 90's. Then the production #'s went up right after production started!!! Some years were in the 5000 range. Whatever the demand is they will make up to that #.!! So anyone who makes the 1st buy thinking it will hold value or be collectable is fooling themselves. Their just putting out a feeler like they did in the 90's. They aren't guaranteeing that # like 1 of 2000 only. They put all of that engineering in to get money out. They will make as many as they can sell. This will be a great car and very desirable to many but the price will determine it's success not the performance. Every car in my houshold outside of my wifes VW is a GM product. I love my Z but $100,000. for a GM product is over the top to me!!

First year ZR-1 production was 3,044 cars, with total ZR-1 production for all years, '90-'95, being 6,939 cars.
Note: the '09 ZR1 is not spelled with a hyphen. This is due to the fact GM changed its naming convention and the un-hyphenated “ZR1” corresponds with the current rule for alphanumeric designations.
