Body by Caddy, not a fan of the sharp edges and curves, too busy and a Camaro like rear end. Perfer the classic simple rounded C5Z shape, much like a E type Jag. Probably the pics don't do it justice, I hope so.
I wouldn't trade my Z for this trash! Was it designed at Hundai? Probably the running gear is world class, but the exterior is UGLY. Camaro tail lights: Gad! for 50 years the Corvette has had round (or nearly so) tail lights. Now we get leftovers from a Camaro. It isn't bad enough that we get Silverado steering wheels. I bet Zora Arkus-Duntov and Larry Shinoda are trying to get tickets to the other place, as they probably think they have been re-routed to warmer regions. The rear end reminds me of those Hondas with the rubbermaid fenders.
I'm done ranting now. My daughter says she thinks I'm in serious need of therapy.
Wrong on multi counts
C4s were not round, go look at the ZR-1s
Those are not the same lights as the Camaro, C7 is using LEDs which reduce the voltage loads and to meet federal law required enough space to meet the light and distance amount required.
Anyone that buys a car on what tail lights look must spend more time with the car parked then racing on the track.
Hope no one takes my comments to an extreme. While I still see a little more Camaro in the rear than I care for, I don't think this makes the model bad.
Terry indicates the rear end looks much better in person and I can surely wait until I see one to make my judgement.
With my C5Z I became a big fan of the FRC and was disappointed with the change in the C6Z. That doesn't mean I didn't buy a C6Z and have been very happy with it.
It is unlikely that any model is going to be exactly the look we want because each of us have different opinions on it. Until we become GM design engineers ourselves, we'll just have to appreciate what they come up with and hope we find things that impress us.
Does this mean I'll probably have a new Vette (hopefully Z06 if they make one) in my driveway in the next year or two? What do you think
Nice looking car but i'm not a fan of the square tail lights,it looks like they took them off the camaro. You would'nt know it was a vette without looking at the badging.
I like these rants, makes me feel better. I too, wanted the c6z to have that flat speed boat rear end, and if it had, I would have had to have one. When I bought my second c5z, there were 7 c6s and a couple c6zs together, and the z's didn't standout at all, at first glance. Having said that, my car has seemed slim in comparison when parked next to c6zs. That 02 McLaren shape is out to pasture. I think maybe ill just stick my engine in the rear and be done with wanting...

Reason: None especially
Not sure about that one. Front end looks good, but that back end would take some getting use to. Of course, it will be a long time before I could afford one anyway. I'll have to stick with the 08.

After seeing them on the road for a week or so you will know exactly what those lights are on.
