During most sales events like GM’s current employee pricing madness — we know, we’re inundating readers with these posts, but we want to make sure shoppers are well-informed — high-performance cars like the Chevy Corvette and its more powerful big brother, the Corvette Z06, aren’t included. Not this time.
The Corvette Z06’s base version, called the 1LZ, starts at $72,125. After the employee pricing discount, it’s $62,653. Yep, that’s almost $10,000 off.
Re: Boss Pricing: 2008 Chevy Corvette Z06 $10,000 Off
I know of a couple of situations where they were bought at much more than $10,000 off sticker. The market is bad. They are selling Vipers at invoice.

Yes sir! I just drove an '08 2LZ w/Nav Z06 off the lot for 66k. Sticker was 77k! The dealer said they had been accepting nothing less than sticker since they took delivery of the car. WooHoo!

I just bought an 09' Z06 for 67,000. I have vendor pricing through GM but they were offering GMS pricing on 08' vettes. I couldn't find color I liked so dealer agreed to this price which was about $2000 more than 08 GMS pricing. Can't quit smiling this is my 3rd vette and I loved them all!!! 74' 96' and know the holly grail!

Re: Boss Pricing: 2008 Chevy Corvette Z06 $10,000 Off
The only option was the competition gray wheels. No offense taken from the chrome wheels. I personally think they make they give the car a stealth effect. My buddy said the car was cool but I should have the wheels chromed, LOL!!!
Other than that the car is just a 09' Z06 with 505HP. Do you really need anything else!!!
I've never spent much time on forums, a buddy turned me on to this site. I found it informative so I joined.
I will try to figure out how to start a thread?? I will also update my BIO. Not sure how to denote my car. CS09Z06??

And what's really remarkable is that in our area (Silicon Valley) the economy has been just as bad as everywhere else for quite some time, but only recently, late this past Summer, have Corvette enthusiasts ever been able to get any good deals from local Chevy dealers. Paying sticker, or higher, has been the norm since the new C6s came out.
Even way before the C6, back in 2001, I had to go to the extra trouble of buying a new C5 Z06 out of state to avoid the usual price gouging going on by most all CA dealers. I, like probably 'vray', have been waiting YEARS for new Corvettes prices to finally drop, especially on all prior model year Z06s.
Much to my astonishment, (thanks to GM, not really any local car dealers who just went along for the GMS ride), it finally happened. It may have taken a virtual cliff dive in the economy to get it started, but I concur with 'vray', the deals everywhere throughout the SF Bay Area, are at long last, finally AWESOME! It's never been better to be a new Corvette buyer who lives in CA.
