Poll: PLEASE review and take this poll (I asked nicely!)

I have read some of the lemon posts recently, and as a satisfied owner, curious now how many people have had REAL problems with their Z. For those who have, my heart goes out to you for the satisfaction you thought you would get, and the pain you did get. I love my car, and can understand how bad it would have SUCKED if I got stuck with a true lemon. This is not a flame post, or an argument, I would just like to see how many really got it stuck to them. I think this is valuable info for us all as owners, future second owners, and future first time owners.

Rocking seat back - fixed. I need to take it in now because when the tranny is cold, it does not want to stay in second gear. It does okay after it is warmed up.

I now have 5,000 miles, not alot for an 01, but 25% are probably from the road course or draggin, and no problems.

2 transmission failures in under 2 months. I only drove the car once after I got it back from the second failure. Never have raced the car, but do drive it in a "spirited" fashion. Hopefully it's fixed properly now and I don't have to bring it in again. Guess I'll find out when I get it back out of storage in March.

Mikey, I have not had any real problems with the car. I did have the sticking clutch problem but as you know I drive the car pretty hard in Pro Solo.....and Chevy replaced it under Warranty.

I was very happy! to say the least.

I couldn't have asked for better service.

....and the initial dyno's showed that I got a real good car.

I have had a few minor and one major problem, but given the kind of car a Z is i dont consider it any big deal. In addition my service problems were handled in a very professional manner,but I dont attribute that to GM I must give all the credit for my excellent service to the dealer who takes care of my z

No problems at all with my 2001 Z06 in 10,000 miles, and none yet in the 2003 with over 1000 miles....

Been very happy with my car. Being a mechanic, I see cars with problems everyday. All kinds of cars,new and old. One thing I do not want is problems with my own. This car has been great .

Good post Mikey with a good spread between the categories. At this post I account for the first lemon, but I have to say I couldn't be happier with Chevy about how they handled it.

I would say there may be some skew as many folks toward the lemon side may not longer vistit so wont be albe to chime in.

In the last week I have looked at alot of new cars, and it really has made a stronger case for owning the vette. I'll be posting my fun little story on perceived Japanese quality and will give most here a good laugh.

Only 1 problem and it was the dealers fault. Took my 6 in for the 1st oil change they backed into the left fender one of the mechanics. Took 3 trips back to get it right and alot of b_tching to GM to get it right but it is now and couldn't be happier. My heart goes out to those who have had problems but I love my 6 its the best thing I have done for myself in a long time!!!!!

p.s. i lied--one problem--can't keep the beast hooked to the road--wants to get sideways--probably need driver replacement but dealer said not covered under the warrenty--a good dealership is hard to find.
