Last month I was lucky enough to drive for a day at Daytona Speedway with Hooked on Driving. It was fun and challenging. With some practice I was able to hit 160 mph every lap. After a day of practicing I pushed it to 192 mph (per my satnav's recording) on the home stretch one time. At those speeds we better all be in a controlled environment. Lots of adrenaline.

I've hit 165 in my Z and 185 on my CBR 1100 XX but 192 is freaking fast! Awesome!!!!!!

165 in my '09 LP560 at Pocono in 2011. The car completely planted and was confidence inspiring.

It took me a day and a half to work up to it. I'm okay up to about 145. Faster than that I get very nervous (scared). I'm not about top end speed - I prefer corners.

At Road America I never went over 155 (in Z06). The front straight pavement undulated and it felt the like the car was unsettled. 155 was plenty fast for me. The Z06 doesn't feel quite as "planted" as the Lambo once it gets over 145.

I hope to be able to take this poll one day. As it is, I have not broken 120 MPH! Grrrr! It's not that I don't want to, just haven't found a safe place or opportunity to do so.

130 mph driving from Texas to Colorado thru new Mexico hyw. That's stupid and fast enough on a public hwy.

On a local straight state roadway I recently went 135 in 5th about to shift to 6th gear when I heard "PLEASE SLOW DOWN"! My wife was "nervous" but later said it felt really good. I agree. Next time I'll go solo.

I hit 142 at the end of the straightaway at NOLA MSP. right at the rev limit in 4th. good brakes are needed to go that deep before turn 1. Thats the fastest I have gone so far. I probably wont try to beat that on a public road.

Finally! I hit 130 at Pueblo Motorsports Park yesterday! Woo Hoo!!

I would have gone faster, but ran out of straightaway.

I had a great day running around the track hitting 100 -130 MPH on the straightaways.

Once I acquire the videos from my friend’s GoPro, I’ll be posting them in a separate thread along with a complete story. My friend hit 140 with his 911 Turbo. All in all, a great day chasing each other around the track with nobody else in the way! I'll explain later.

193mph - 2007 Z06, handled just fine, takes forever to slow down without using brakes
165mph - 1969 427 / 435 vette, front end got real light, scary
145mph - 1979 XS1100 Yamaha, almost laid it down, gave up the two wheel adventures
