I was never impressed with the F1 supercar tires. I was able to break the tires loose at will all the way through third gear with the car in Comp mode.
I just put a set of Vredestein sessantas on and they are much better and quiter IMHO. They were only $590 shipped I believe when I bought them in February from Tom's Tires.
Sold my 03' Z to my Dad with wore out Stuper Cars @ 20K miles. He bought Firestone Wide Ovals in factory sizes and the tires look better and ride better than the Goodyears. If your staying with stock sizes you won't regret the Wide Ovals.

I've had Wide Ovals on my Z for about a year now and really like em. They do quite well in rain also
the wide ovals are pretty decent in the rain. i like the bfg kdw2's as street tires though. Better dry traction than either WO or F1 and still good in the rain
I have an Nitto Invo for over a year and really like them, 220 AA tread wear, they stick well and performance well in heavy rains (San Antonio floods).

I went with Goodyear GS D3s about a year ago and love them .I recently traded my family car ride for a Lexus ISF and needed rear tires soon ! I purchased the Veredestein Ultracs and like dcd58 said , they are a great tire for the money, and I would not mind at all having a set on my Z06.
My Z is a daily driver, and every time it rained I couldn't go over about 35 on the freeway with the factory F1's. I was afraid they were going to get me killed! Tried to hydroplane way to much.
I just bought a new set of Invos (should be delivered this week). There are a lot of Vettes around here running them and everyone I talked to likes them a lot.
Update - Put them on today - so far I like them.

What sizes did you get?

PS2's now available in ZP for the C6Z...Who's gunna be first to get em????
After hearing of the development that went into them with GM by the Vette racing team at Road America I'm sold. These tires are MADE for C6 corvettes. I would hope they would put them on 2010 cars as OEM - and rerun some of the comparos!
I hope they don't seem like lead weights after my NT05's come off...

You can check them out in BG.
I kind of figured that you went to different sizes as I did not see anything in a 17 that came close to stock numbers. I will check them out at the fest.
After I wore out the F1s I have had 3 ses of Kumho Ecsta MXs, 275/40 in the front and 295/35 in the back. However, just bought new tires today adn I went with Nittos, the 275/40 Extreme 555s in the front and the 305/35 NT555R drag radials in the back.
Stock wheels.
