I just picked up my 2008 Z06 and spent as much time driving it this weekend as I could. I wanted to check out the car prior to a dealer checkout tomorrow. I searched as much as possible and I do think it may have one issue. A buzz at about 85 from the shifter.
Any other issues to look out for with the 2008 Z06? I'm very happy with the car and will work on everything I can on it. Just want to get things that can be fixed by someone else done by them.

Thank You, I've been thoroughly impressed. I've driven the LS1 and LT1 for the past 14 years in F-Bodies, I love the LS7. The hardest part is, I keep thinking I'm in a caddy. Then I remember it's a Z06 and it's much more fun. Incredible balance of performance and ride. I can't wait to start working on it. For now everything's covered and I'm enjoying the rest. People ask me what I like about the car and I answer; everything.
I agree with your suggestions and will I'm sure install the CAI. I was going to order the remote switch but wondered if I would want it open all the time. It would be nice to be able to close it if I wanted, and the fact that the switch remembers the last state is great. So it is still going to get ordered with the CAI in the next week or so. The exhaust is something I want but my first concern is the car being used and being sure my warranty is valid and unchallenged for a while. GM dealer tells me a catback is generally considered OK. It looks like the good systems are complete pipes and mufflers though. Car has no aftermarket tune in memory now. I just don't see me going years that way, but I am covered to 150K miles with my warranty.
Point me in the right direction if anyone's aware of threads with vibrations at 70-85 mph on the shifter\dash. Shifter needs a replacement to the GM updated one is the current diagnosis. What about wheel balance though? I'd like to hear about others that experienced the shifter vibration. I read the searches but found little info.
