Hey guys. New owner of a low mile 06 with some mods. Bought the car out of state and was supposedly stock with exhaust but I know for sure it has a cam and possibly heads. It has a snake charmer intake, Kook's long tubes, Corsa exhaust with high flow cats. I'm going to run it once the weather warms up. I've been racing for years and run a 87 Buick Regal with a big block single turbo on stock suspension. It went 4.80's at 157 on a 325/50 radial. It's undergoing some chassis upgrades so I'm gonna play with this toy for a little while. I've been missing having a quick street car so this Vette is my fix. I'm heading over to the tire section for some drag radial advice. Thanks!!
Welcome to the site and congrats on the new ride.
There are quite a few of Buick GN/GNX guys around here

If I were you, I would get the tune checked out first before racing it. Just to be on the safe side.
I agree with Venom on that

I have hooked it up to HP tuners to check out the timing map and to see what all has been changed. It has the usual changes and max timing is 23 degrees at WOT. I'm not sure what most of the tuners use for 93 octane. I have never tuned an all motor LS7. I specialize in boosted apps using FAST, BS3 and Holley systems. The HP tuner software was new to me so I had a friend walk me through it.
What timing is typical of an LS7 with a tune? I think it showed 18* was stock.
