I have wanted a Z06 since they came out in 01. I waited until they would be obtainable for a family man in my income bracket. I bought a red 01 with 78000 miles. It has an aftermarket cam, long tube headers,off road x pipe and stock mufflers. It is a pretty good running combo. I hope to get it on the dyno and get it tuned soon. It seams to run a bit rich. I am very happy with the car over all.

Congrats!! And welcome! Headers and an X pipe are an upgrade that the c5Z is in need of so good buy!~ I think that w/ stock mufflers is one of the best sounding exhausts w/ no drawbacks! best of luck!
Congrats dave. I know how excited you are and its very satisfying. I joined the party in july myself, after a decade of dreaming and depreciation. and after almost 6 months with the car I am still thrilled every time I drive it.
Yesss Dave theres just something really special about being a vette owner. I tell a lot of my
friends that before their day comes that they should get a vette. a young latino man who
just did detailing on my 04 ZO6 has bought the same color (millenium yellow) ZO6 as mine.
I am now on my 8th corvette and if the good Lord allows I hopefully will get number 9.

Congrats on the new wheels. I am new to the site as well but I know the feeling of starting up a Z. It was below freezing in NY today but I had to take it for a ride anyway. It puts a smile on my face every time. Good luck
