2001 Torch red ZO6 8K

I am selling a 2001 torch red Z06 with black leather interior and red accents. This car has only 8K original miles and is located in Kansas. Car is perfect and it screams, makes my brother in law with a 94 Viper quite jealous. This car comes with an aftermarket exhaust system (Magnaflow I believe, it came with the car when I bought it). I am asking $37,900 OBO and can help arange shipping if needed. Please call or e-mail me if interested. Have a good day!

Newbie questions, please help
I am a proud new owner of a 2001 red Z06 with 8K on the clock. I am trying to learn as much as I can about these cars so I need your help! What is the difference between the 01 and 02 z06's, what makes the 20 horsepower difference and can I upgrade my 01 with those mods?

Also, what are the best mods to do first. It has exhaust and I am thinking about porting the TB, bypassing the TB, and an intake of some sort. What do you all reccomend? Should I make other changes first? What is the best bang for your buck? Thanks for your help.
Just two days ago you were looking to mod it, now your selling?? What happened? Don't like it?

Joe

Love it, I took it home a few days ago after trading in my Qvale Mangusta(2001 hard top/targa'convertable, 1 of only 283 Italian built cars in the US) + cash for it and took the wife out in it last night and she hates the power it has (and she wants an automatic). She won't drive the car due to the power and the deal was if I get a new car it has to be one we both would like. I was planning on doing some work on the car and eventually Procharging it because it is the strongest stock Z06 I have driven ( I have only driven 4, 2 01's and 2 02's) and I think it has real potential. We have only been married 4 months and she is already killing me. Trust me, I do not want to sell it....it looks great in my garage.

KIA?!!! How are you going to get out of this one - you ask.

Suggestions:

1) Divorce attorney. It hasn't been that long - it won't cost you much
2) FBI witness protection program - she probably won't recognize you with some minor plastic surgery
3) "New job" that takes you to Saudi Arabia 11 months of the year
4) Pictures of you with 5 women coated with velcrow and mustard
5) Pictures of you and 5 guys -------nah, not that one

My friend, you are WOOPED! No offense, but you better grow a pair or you're in for a tough haul.

BTW: Those Kia's are cheap. Buy her one and keep the Z!

Not only are you great car guys to chat with, you are fantastic theropists as well! I promise all of you I will not get a Kia, but I do have to get rid of the Z. In fact it is at home right now sitting in the garage and I feel like I cannot even look at it. It will be a sad day when she is gone but I promise to get another Z06 one day........when I can afford to pay cash for an extra car and hide it in a storage facility

As some wise sage once said "the sun doesn't shine on the same dog's ass every day."

So it ain't shine'n on yours when you have to sell that Z

Hurry back to Z ownership and hurry up and take Z06 Tom's advice.

Over and out on this subject

No kids? Tell your wife to take a chill pill. You really NEED to set the stage on this marriage..

Tell her what you want and get it.

Ask her what she wants..and
get it..then call it a day.

JMO

Good spouses want their partner to be happy in life.

Get her the car she wants and be done with it. IMHO.

And good luck

(4 months...holly sh!t..usually they wait until the baby comes before giving orders! (kidding..)

Of course what you do is based off of sound financial reasoning..so good luck no matter what you do.

JB

Loved some of those comments, I just may have to use them. I drove the car to work this morning and I am officially in love. I have to find a way to avoid selling her. I can't beleive how smooth it is on the highway, and the seats are VERY comfortable. Not to mention, it was very easy for me to pass everything on the highway. I must admit, I am going to do what I can to keep it (although I know I have no chance) Wish me luck!

She married a motorhead, she knew what she was getting into.
If you have ever listened to Dr. Laura she always harps on these women who call and complain about their mens hobbies. She always asks " did he do this before you got married" and when they say "yes" she tells them to live with it....

Good call, I like that one. What do I say when she talks about it being $20,000 out of our price range
