This is a great car and I have been debating selling it. If I am going to get into a C6 and start developing it I need to do it sooner than later. You won't find a better roll cage in any other C5 racecar. The cage was installed in Jan 04 by JP Racecars for $7200. This would make a great car for someone wanting to do NASA VetteViperChallenge, SCCA ITE, Corvette TCC or HPDE.
This is a fast car and if you are interested let me know as I can get you some pictures.
I talked to everyone about cages when I was looking to have this done. I saw some of his work and knew that he is the man when building a cage for a car. I guess all of that work building cars for Gentilozzi has taught him a thing or two. As I said in the ad you won't find a better cage around in a C5. This cage was done after Lance's and it is a little different as the pics show.
Hopefully I'll be running with you next year in T1 David.

Quite a few things would have to be changed to make my car T1 legal. Put the motor back to stock, put the stock exhaust back on with cats, put the interior in.
Once all of that was done the car would be T1 kegal again. This car has 7 National T1 wins and 18 Regional T1 wins in it's lifetime. So it's possible but I can't honestly sell you this car to run T1.
Personally I wouldn't put all of that money into a C5 for T1 as everyone will see that once the C6 gets sorted out that it will be the car to have.
If you want to learn how to race cheaper than T1 you can race NASA which is what I did in 2004. This car is built to the VVC1 specs. I won the Ohio/Indiana 2004 VVC1 championship with it. It's very fast and reliable. I have only went thru the normal wear items. Brakes & Wheel bearings.
I dont know what the MWC ASR specs are but you can also run Corvette TCC or SCCA ITE as there are alot of modified Vettes running in that class. The only downfall of running a regional class is you cannot race at the runoffs.
I was looking at VVC, but there aren't many Vettes, looks like you were mostly competing with AIX - I know those guys are fast, too...wonder if the series will get more Vettes this year...
MWC ASR is very open in terms of rules.
Are you selling your your car with the CCWs? Is that yellow painted?
I am selling the car with two sets of GM GS wheels. One with Hoosier R3S03's and another with Hoosier Radial Wets. I can make the car a little cheaper if someone doesn;t want the radial wets as I will be able to use them on the T1 car.
Yeah it was fun trying to keep up with the AIX mustangs. A couple of them have over 600 HP and weigh less too.
There will probably be two more drivers in VVC this year. One I believe is Keith Oracek's dad. (spellling? Sorry keith) He bought a C4 and ran it at Putnam last year. Also Dale Clark has a modded C5 that he plans to run. Also someone bought the old VVC1 Viper from Frank Barba late this year and I would assume that they will be running too. Also at MidOhio one of the T1 guys Jeff Robbins won one of the season tickest for NASA this year and will probably run a few races too. I will be running with a T1 prepared C6 as I really like the NASA folks and racing with them. So the competition should be there this year.
