F/S '02 ZO6(Red) - Great Track / Street Car

I am selling my 02 ZO6 with 18,900 Miles. Car is in excellent condition, garaged kept, and has never been in an accident. It is really set up for the track but can still be driven on the street comfortably. XTREME Motorsports has done all the major work on the car including the new Forged 383. Motor and tuning were done with road racing track use in mind (Cam, oil pump, etc.). This car is very reliable and fast on the track! I will work on pictures if interested. Many references in the Vette community here in AZ if needed. HUD and Black Interior.

Below is a summary of the Mods.

Engine: 500 miles on new forged 383 stroker. AFR Heads. Built and tuned by Xtreme Motorsports in Tempe. Much more info available!

Cooling: Ron Davis oversized radiator with integral oil cooler.

Suspension: Doug Rippie Coilover shock system. T-1 sway bars with adj. end links. Center tunnel heat shield and reinforcement plate. Track alignment.

Brakes: Front – StopTech 6 piston Calipers, 2 piece slotted oversize rotors, Hawk DTC-70 pads, DRM brake vent extensions routed all the way to back of spindle. Stainless steel lines. Motul fluid.

Rear – Slotted “frozen” rotors with Hawk Pads. Stainless steel lines.

Exhaust: Stainless Works headers. High flow cats and “H” pipe to Borla high flow exhaust.

Safety : Bray Krause Harness Bar and 6 point Harnesses. Fire Extingisher mount and Extingisher below front seat. Camera Mount.

Wheels/Tires: SSR wheels with Hoosier R6 (Track). Fiske wheels with Michelin tires (Street).

Many more items not listed! Over $20K in upgrades. Many wins with Arizona Corvette Racers C5 Mod. Class and with NASA Time Trial TTU!

E-Mail: Bob121981@AOL.COM

$31,000 OBO

Here are the pictures of the car. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the bumb mjustmike! It is really a great car and ready for any weekend race activity, or you can drive it to dinner! I love Maryland. Was born in Salisbury.

Re: F/S '02 ZO6(Red) - Great Track / Street Car

Sounds great! You should post pics. You'll get more action on your thread.

Are the rear brakes Stop Tech?
What size are the wheels, track and street?
Are the shocks adjustable for comp. and rebound? How many settings?
Stock seats?
What's the CR on the motor now?
Any Dyno #'s?
Stock clutch?
Anything done to the Diff. or Trans.?
Body condition?

Just wanting to know for a friend who's looking for a track car that can be driven on the street.

The price seems very fair for what you've described. Good luck on your sale.

Re: F/S '02 ZO6(Red) - Great Track / Street Car

OttoZO6 those are great questions! I am still working on the pictures. I have some pictures taken by others at the track that are good but are VERY big. Sorry for being so picture illiterate. Here are the answers:

Rear Brakes - They are not Stoptech. Slotted frozen rotors, Hawk Pads, SS Lines, stock calipers.
Wheels - Fiske 18" all around (265 F, 295 R), SSR's (track) 18" all around
(295 F, 315 R)
Shocks - Are DRM Coilovers, Not adjustable other than spring rates. I will say that DRM spent a lot of time developing these and they have been excellent.
Seats are stock
New motor is 11:1
Dyno with 300 miles on new motor HP- 433 Torque- 441 (I think motor is getting stronger each time out)
Clutch is stock and has always worked great. (match revs on track and save clutch!)
Diff and Trans. - Diff was replaced by GM as orignal made noise. Otherwise Diff and Trans are stock. Use Amsoil in both as well as engine!
Body Condition - I would say it is very good but not without a few dings and chips. It is not a show car but still looks great. Kept inside all its life and has only been driven in the rain once.

Thanks for the interest and will work on the pictures! Darrell at XTREME Motorsports can also be contacted concerning my car. He knows it well.

Re: F/S '02 ZO6(Red) - Great Track / Street Car

If anyone in the Phoenix area is interested, I will have the car at Firebird Raceway (Main Track) next Saturday with Pro Auto Sports. I will in the Time Trial group.

Re: F/S '02 ZO6(Red) - Great Track / Street Car

I still have this car for sale. To be honest I have not been trying real hard. Again, it is perfect for weekend HPDE/Time Trial events. It is set-up for NASA TTU. After your Time Trial you can change the tires and drive it to dinner! I would be glad to answer any questions. For anyone in Arizona I will have the car at Firebird West on Saturday the 16th of August. I will be hanging out with the other Vette guys and we are usually pretty easy to spot.
