I want to buy a Z06 within two weeks

I am looking for a Z06 to take the place of my Supra I am in the process of selling. My first choice would be a White Z06. I would consider 01 black or silver as well. 2002's are a little out of my price range. The 2001 would have to be under 40,000 and with fairly low miles. If any of you guys could help out that would be great. Don't think bad of me because I'm a Supra owner. I'm looking forward to joining the Z06 community. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum. Supras are awesome cars and get much respect around here. Good luck on finding what you want. You may want to try the for sale forum on this board and the Corvette Forum board. Congrats on making the switch.

This is a great site and there are a bunch of great people here.

You will have a blast!

Welcome to the forum.

I also used to have a Supra (a 92 w/T66) before the Z-06. I think you'll be able to find what you want as the used vette market is very weak right now. I would recommend sticking with the 2002 even if it costs you a few thou more. The difference between the 02's vs. 01's makes it worth it in my opinion.

As Law Boy stated, check out the for sale section on the corvetteforum.com site also.

Do yourself a favor and contact forum member carrzy ..I'll try and find the link for you. This is an immaculate black/mod red 2002 Z06 for around 41 grand. (5800 miles and is going to the z06fest this weekend with it.

I would highly recommend this car.

2002 Corvettes are only 36 month 0%. I agree with JBsZ06, Carzzy's Z06 is in Great shape and well maintained. I saw it at Carlisle and I know Gary is doing what he has to and other wise would never by selling it. Go for the 02' instead of the 01'. You will not regret it... Also Welcome aboard. A lot of great people here. Check out my Vararam install from this past week and you will see what I mean...

Thanks fellas. What are the differences between the 01 and the 02 besides the hp #, which is irrelevant to me because I plan to mod it heavily. Are there any other differences? What is causing the hp differences, is it internal or is it air related? Thanks for the help guys.

I clicked the link above and it said it was sold for 40,800.
Guess I was too late. I'm not a real big fan of the mod red either. But I'd get used to it. I would pay more for white with black int.

Supra, I know of a ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 2001 speedway white/black Z06 in NJ(a little far for you though). Car has 4,000 miles and still has the tags on the interior. Car is new and 100% stock. Only problem is, the dealer bought it privately and paid a lot of $$$. I think he is asking $42,000 which is too much for an 01'. However, I know hes had it for a while. Call and offer $38-$39k or so. He may take it. I ave seen the car, it really is brand new. PM me if you want.. White's are hard to come by, you may have to pay up...

4sale

I have an 01 QS/Blk that is perfect except for 2 very small gravel pecks on the hood. Never thrown a code, no oil consumption and never driven in the rain - it is completely stock and original w/ the exception of an 02 air box. It has 6500 miles never raced (or redlined), never any damage of any type, always garaged, and a weekend driver only. I want to sell because I don't drive her enough - scared someone will hurt her. Oh yeah, about 10 coats of Zaino now with 0 swirls or scratches. $38,000 Memphis, TN.
