I Am Looking to Take over a lease on a vette,
I'm looking for something with around 7 Months or less Left on the lease,

i won't BUY a a C5 Z06 because there offering 10K off MSRP because the sales droped big on the C5's because of the C6 coming out & once there out you can allmost steal a C5 because theres going to be no market for them,
your 03 Z06 that your asking 45K will be worth about 20-27K
& why would i pay 45K for a Used 03 Z06 when i could get a new 04 Z06 for 43K? no sense?
that's why i want to lease one for the summer & not lose my ass in buying one, i'll wait for the C6 & Then buy a C5 Z06 Like yours for 20-25K.
i know what i'm talking about, I'm A Used Car Dealer & I See Z06's at auction for low 30's all day long.

And I don't believe that z06's are now or soon going to DROP off the earth due to the pricing. You won't be able to get a Z06 c6 for 2 years anyhow. And how much will it be then?
there not gonna drop off the earth anytime soon,
but the C6 has 400HP vs The C5 Z06's 405HP
So it will be as fast ( I Heard faster ) as a C5 Z06,
but just like every other car, Once the new ones come out the old bodys get crazy cheap,
if not then why would dealers be giving 10K 04 Vettes?
pick up a copy of road & track or car & driver (can't remeber which one) it's the one with the Silver Vert C6 on the cover,
anyways theres a graph in there showing Vette Sales on 03 & 04
2004 Vettes Droped more then half there sales (VS 03) because of the C6 Coming out & Honda's S2000 is beating the Corvette in Sales for 2004 WHICH NEVER HAPPEND BEFORE

Theres been 2 Vettes in the showroom at a local dealer since 5 months, i'm good friends with the manager he he told me the same things i am telling you, the Z06 in the showroom was 53K 5 months ago Now 44+REBATES
And your right, There is nothing like a new car, But for a savings of 25K i'll take the used one,

2002 Z06...no major mods...SS Brake Lines, better street/track pads, slightly lowered, better alignment, and a K&N filter.
The Z06-c5 is still the special car. Will always be. Even when the Z06-c6 comes out. Just that the new improved Z06 might be more expensive and faster... don't know yet! Nobody knows...
If you prefer a used Z06 (you say, save $25!), I say you don't deserve a Z06. BIG DIFFERENCE when you own it new. Good Z06's are NOT leaving their owners hands cheap...!
